SPOTLIGHT: SENDD’s Broadband Mapping Initiative
The Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) launched a statewide broadband speed mapping initiative to give elected officials, businesses, and the public accurate data, in order to connect rural communities and support future broadband expansion grants and projects across the state.
in partnership with Nebraska Regional Officials Council and SENDD, this statewide Broadband Mapping Initiative launched in February 2021 and uses crowdsourced broadband speed tests to quantify Nebraska's digital divide. Residents in the state of Nebraska are encouraged to partake in the one-minute speed test from any internet-enabled device, anywhere in the state.
